Hospital Incident Command System

The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standardized, all-hazard incident management system that enables hospitals and others to organize resources, staff and facilities in order to remain operational during an emergency and promote the restoration of day-to-day operations.

DQE helps hospitals implement HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) and become operational.  The complete DQE HICS program consists of four stages that can becompleted from beginning to end, or used as needed to enhance your current state of preparedness.

  • Onsite HICS Training for your management team members, conducted by one of our experienced and credentialed trainers.
  • DQE-on-Demand Online HICS Training helps you roll out HICS hospital-wide to all staff that would play any role in an emergency or disaster response using.
  • Hospital Command Center (HCC) Training is provided for the incident management team personnel that play a critical role in the HCC.
  • Organize and implement your HICS program facility-wide by developing an Emergency Management Program.

With proper management, chaos is minimized, normal operations resume sooner, the cost of the event is monitored, safety is maximized, and there is more efficient use of personnel.

Since 1991, DQE has been trusted by over 500 hospitals and over 10,000 healthcare providers to provide consistent disaster preparedness for their facilities.
