In-Hospital Spill Training "(The instructor) made the training session fun. He was very knowledgeable and had many examples to demonstrate his point." Environmental Services, Community Hospital - McCook |
First Responder AwarenessThe Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires hospitals to provide First Responder Awareness Level training to hospital personnel who may encounter a contaminated patient or be called upon to support the decon process, but are not part of the hospital’s Decon Team. This includes emergency department personnel, security, set-up crew, triage staff, clinicians, clerks, and others associated with the decontamination process.
The Awareness Level course is ideal for introducing the important role your hospital plays in community health services to multiple staff members, local industry officials, and pre-emergency responders. DQE will assist the hospital in qualifying for continuing education credits and will provide all necessary documentation to certify attendees in accordance with OSHA.
Decon Awareness Level Training Overview, Training Topics, and Support Since 1991, DQE has been trusted by over 500 hospitals and over 10,000 healthcare providers to provide consistent disaster preparedness for their facilities. |
