Dr. Howard Levitin, MD, FACEP | President/CEO
Dr. Howard Levitin is an Emergency Physician and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He has served as a subject matter expert in the areas of hazardous materials, chemical and biological weapons, surge capacity care and disaster planning. He was an instructor for the Department of the Army’s Toxic Chemical Training Course for Medical Support Personnel and co-author and instructor for the Department of Defense’s Domestic Preparedness Program.
Dr. Levitin lectures nationally and internally on the topics of hospital disaster preparedness and the medical consequences of terrorism, has authored chapters on hazardous materials and victim decontamination for several disaster medicine textbooks, and has published extensively on a wide variety of topics related to emergency preparedness.
Stanley "Skeet" Dickinson, EMT | Vice President, Training Services
Skeet Dickinson served on the Warren Township Fire Department from 1978 to 1994, when he left to become the Director of Training for DQE. Skeet graduated from the Fire Academy as a First Class Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. After graduating from the National Fire Academy in 1986 as a Hazardous Material Specialist he served the last eight years of his fire service career as a HazMat team leader and Lieutenant at Station 44 on the Indianapolis east side.
He is a graduate of the Army’s Medical Management of Chemical and Biological Casualty Course, and was an instructor for the Department of Defense’s (Counter-Terrorism) Domestic Preparedness Program. Skeet has provided hospital decontamination and incident command system training to hundreds of hospitals and is recognized nationally for his expertise.
Christopher Sonne | Manager of Training & Consulting Services
Before joining DQE, Inc. Chris spent over a decade working at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, an adult and pediatric Level I Trauma Center in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, clinically within the Emergency Department and in Nursing Administration. Throughout this time, he was instrumental in the development of the facility’s emergency management and decontamination program. In 2009, Chris became a Certified Hospital Emergency Coordinator (CHEC) through the Office of Public Health & Hospital Emergency Management, Medical College of Georgia; and in 2011, a certified Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Instructor through the Emergency Management Institute.
As the Manager of Training and Consulting Services with DQE, Inc. Chris provides training, facilitation, and subject matter expertise in the field of emergency management for hospitals and healthcare providers throughout the United States. He also projects his experience as the lead consultant within the company’s consulting division, which focuses on the development of emergency management programs, emergency operation plans, support annexes, and HSEEP guided exercises.
